Why does the Summer run to meet the Fall?
Why do children overnight grow so tall?
Why do flowers blossom and then die?
Why do we laugh and then we cry?
Is there a Summer without a Spring?
Without lyrics, how could one sing?
Why do young children have to die?
Why are birds helpless till they learn to fly?
Why do all people have to grow old?
Why are some cowards and others bold?
Is there a moonlight without a moon?
Without a May, can there be a June?
Why does one love without any emotion?
Why do people marry without real devotion?
Why are some happy and others so sad?
Why don’t we judge good instead of bad?
Is there a wind that a tree won’t sway?
Without a night, can there be a day?
Why does a person do whatever they please?
Why do some hurt and other appease?
Why does the sunlight turn into dark?
Why do some get hurt by a simple remark?
Is there a rain when the clouds aren’t first?
Without the dryness, would we ever thirst?
Why does a man try to fly into space?
Why do we seek an exciting new place?
Why do we try to be what we’re not?
Why do we wish for more than we’ve got?
Is there a sea that does not meet the shore?
Without really living, wouldn’t life be a bore?
Why does a man reach for more than he should?
Why not seek beauty wherever we could?
Why do we need all the unnatural highs?
Why do we live with such needless lies?
Is there a snow that won’t melt and depart?
Without a warm feeling, do we really need a heart?
Why do some live like each day is the last?
Why don’t we treat the present, unlike the past?
Why do some feel the need to destroy?
Why does our sorrow override all our joy?
Is there a moment when something new doesn’t grow?
Without the violin, does a man need a bow?
Why do I sit here and question all that’s about?
Why before did I not sing, instead wanted to shout?
Why do I feel warmth only when she is near?
Why did it take so long to find someone dear?
Is there a moment when time will not be our thief?
Without her warm beauty, wouldn’t I again I lose belief?
To some questions, I’ve found answers and other I’ve not.
I query no further, for I’m thankful for what I’ve got.
Love is the answer I’ve sought all of these years.
I was unable to see it through all wasted tears.
For the days I have left she’ll be mine and I’ll care.
And when our lives are all over, even the ground we will share.
So when you wake in the morning and feel empty inside,
Know that love’s all around you like the onrushing tide.
Take a look all about you and take a deep breath,
For as long as there are flowers you’ll never smell death.
You can find your own love, as I have now done,
And discover the beauty that I have now won.
